Robust inclinometer for tilt monitoring

An inclinometer is a sensor which measure the angle with respect to a horizontal position, with an imaginary line from the centre of the earth serving as a reference. The inclinometers from DIS Sensors are based on robust MEMS technology and the analogue output is always a combination of two components: a static (slope) component and a dynamic (acceleration) component. The inclinometer can be mounted anywhere and offers great flexibility in mechanical design.

There are many application areas for these inclinometers, for example on trucks with aerial work platforms, cranes or concrete pumps. The inclinometer can be mounted both on the chassis but also directly on the crane arm or the lift. With protection class up to IP69K these inclinometers can also be used for example in fork lifts, scissor lifts and in rough environments such as drilling and mining.

These inclinometers’ high accuracy also make them perfectly suitable for monitoring the angular position of the horizontal axis of photovoltaic and parabolic systems.

Some applications demand high safety level and for those we can offer both 1- and 2-axis inclinometers, QG76N (with stainless steel housing) and QG65N (special plastic housing) with SIL2/PLd and CANopen Safety interface.
