Inclinometer from DIS now upgraded to SIL2/PLd category 3

Stigab’s partner DIS Sensors is pleased to announce that their SIL2 / PLd Safety inclinometer product family of sensors is now certified to a higher safety architecture level: Category 3. DIS sensors developed this successful family of sensors entirely in-house.[EH1]

Certain industrial safety application standards specify a minimum functional safety architecture level in addition to the SIL / PL level. This upgraded certification to Category 3 makes these safety inclinometers from DIS Sensors suitable for an even wider range of industrial applications.

Inclinometers are electronic spirit level sensors. This type of sensor is ideal for monitoring the angle of machine components such as the platform or boom of a mobile crane. With the increasingly strict safety standards for mobile machinery, the safety inclinometer is an ideal alternative for the use of expensive redundant sensors.
