Monostable solenoids

A monostable solenoid returns (usually with a spring action) to its "normal position" after the maneuver is released (the electrical signal is broken, the lever is released, etc.), in contrast to a bistable solution, which has two stable positions where the solenoid stops after maneuvering as per example an electrically activated solenoid where the position is selected by giving a signal to one of two magnetic coils.
