EmiClare® Sigma is a fully laminated polycarbonate window designed for electronic displays and apertures where light transmission, optical clarity and EMI/RFI shielding performance are critical requirements. The product combines mechanical robustness with excellent optical properties.
Optimised for Modern Displays
EmiClare® Sigma incorporates a unique blackened woven copper mesh embedded between polycarbonate layers. The mesh configuration has been specifically developed for flat panel displays and optimised to:
- Reduce image distortion and moiré fringing
- Provide high light transmission for brighter, more readable displays
- Ensure reliable EMI/RFI shielding performance
Flexible and Cost-Effective Solution
The pre-laminated standard panel range is available in various thicknesses, surface finishes and mesh angles, allowing:
- Short lead times
- Low minimum order quantities
- A cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications
The laminated polycarbonate is UL94 rated, offering low weight and high impact resistance. As standard, both surfaces feature a UV-cured transparent 3H hard coat, with an optional high-clarity non-glare finish.
CNC Machining and Customisation
All parts are CNC machined from stock panels and can be supplied according to customer drawings:
- Any geometry specified in DXF format
- Holes (minimum Ø 1.5 mm)
- Square, radius or chamfered corners
- Square or stepped edge profiles
To ensure effective electrical termination, all parts are finished with a silver painted busbar creating contact to the embedded mesh. Additional conductive gaskets, environmental seals and tapes can also be supplied where required.
