{"id":15547,"date":"2021-01-14T15:36:21","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T15:36:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stigab.se\/en\/?p=15547"},"modified":"2021-08-24T11:31:18","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T11:31:18","slug":"verifiera-den-ratta-sakerhetsnivan-english","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stigab.se\/en\/verifiera-den-ratta-sakerhetsnivan-english\/","title":{"rendered":"Verifying the right level of security"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Verifying the right level of security for a specific application is not&nbsp;simple and requires some knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To calculate, for example, the \u201dPL\u201d level in your particular application, the machine safety standard EN\/ISO 13849-1 uses a qualitative risk diagram or flow chart to assign a performance level (PL). This is based on three criterias:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The severity of the damage (S1\/S2)<\/li><li>Frequency and\/or exposure time of danger (F1\/F2)<\/li><li>The possibility to avoid danger or limit damage (P1\/P2)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"546\" height=\"339\" src=\"https:\/\/stigab.se\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/01\/K1S-flodesschema.png\" alt=\"K1S\" class=\"wp-image-15548\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stigab.se\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/01\/K1S-flodesschema.png 546w, https:\/\/stigab.se\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/01\/K1S-flodesschema-300x186.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 546px) 100vw, 546px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The performance level (PL) is denoted by an alphabetical character (a to d), where PLe is seen as the highest risk level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K1S is a brand new FNR switch with genuine on-on-on function that meets the highest requirements in safety-critical equipment according to ISO 13849.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With only 15 mm installation depth, the&nbsp;K1S switch is easy to mount in grips, joysticks or in panels.
