Eccosorb™ CR is a two-part castable microwave absorber designed for manufacturing custom RF and microwave components. The material can be moulded directly into finished shapes and is commonly used to produce waveguide terminations, attenuators, loads and other absorber components where standard products cannot meet specific design requirements. Once cured, the material replicates the mechanical and electrical properties of the equivalent Eccosorb™ MF grade, providing engineers with both design flexibility and proven RF performance.
Its low outgassing characteristics make Eccosorb™ CR particularly suitable for demanding aerospace, defence and space applications. The material can also be used to precisely pot absorber material around RF leakage paths or to create complex absorber geometries that would otherwise be difficult to manufacture. The epoxy-based formulation provides excellent mechanical stability and high-temperature performance after curing.
